BIOPARC Valencia has turned 18, establishing itself as one of the world’s top-rated animal parks. With recent births of threatened species and a special anniversary weekend full of activities, it continues to prove that entertainment can go hand in hand with genuine biodiversity conservation.
On February 28, 2026, BIOPARC Valencia reached legal adulthood, celebrating 18 years as one of the most successful modern zoo models in Europe and worldwide. During the weekend of February 21-22 (with promotions extended until March 1), the park hosted treasure hunts, face painting, guided tours, and the traditional surprise cakes for both visitors and animals. Public turnout was outstanding and coincided with very special moments: the births of a rhinoceros (the first at the park), elephant, and chimpanzee, marking major milestones in endangered species breeding programs. Additionally, part of the “+1€” promotion ticket price was donated through the BIOPARC Foundation to support the recovery of the Valencian bat species. If you haven’t visited BIOPARC yet, now is the perfect time: an immersive journey through Madagascar, the African savannah, wetlands, and jungles that makes you forget you’re right in the heart of Valencia city.
