Excitement at Fundación Zoo Koki in Val de Santo Domingo (Toledo)! On February 23, 2026, the zoo family welcomed two new members: Bribón and Aifos, a young pair of bobcats (Lynx rufus) just 6 months old, who travelled from Zoo de Lagos in Portugal.
This arrival is part of the foundation’s international conservation commitments. The young felines travelled under strict animal welfare protocols and are now in quarantine and adaptation at Finca Koki facilities. The keepers are watching them fondly as they explore their new Toledan home, already calling them “a breath of fresh air” for the park.
Zoo Koki, opened in 2018 as a family project and now a non-profit foundation, houses more than 150 animal species and 300 plant species. Its mission combines conservation, environmental education and social work, and this new addition strengthens its role in the European zoo network dedicated to emblematic species like the bobcat.
Bribón and Aifos will not only be ambassadors for their species but will also help raise awareness among visitors about the ecological importance of medium-sized felines. A great piece of news for Spanish and European biodiversity!
Want to meet them in person? The zoo is open Thursday to Sunday. Buy your ticket and enjoy an inclusive zoo “with soul”. Don’t miss it!
