How to get there
Car:
From A-66 / Oviedo: Follow signs to “City Center,” the motorway ends at Plaza del Humedal (train station on the left), turn left to Plaza del Carmen (with fountain in the center), stay on the left, and follow signs to the Tourist Office, exiting onto Playa de Poniente. At the end of the beach is Gijón Aquarium.
From AS-248 / León / Siero: Follow signs to “City Center,” arriving at Avenida Ramón y Cajal, which ends at the beach, turn left following the beach, continue straight to the end. Follow signs to Puerto Deportivo / Aquarium. At Plaza del Carmen (with central fountain) follow signs to the Tourist Office, exiting onto Playa de Poniente, at the end is Gijón Aquarium.
From A-8 / Santander: Exit La Guía / Viesques towards La Guía. At the next roundabout take the second exit following the river to the beach, once on the beach continue straight to the end. Follow signs to Puerto Deportivo / Aquarium. At Plaza del Carmen (with central fountain) follow signs to the Tourist Office, exiting onto Playa de Poniente, at the end is Gijón Aquarium.
Bus: The nearest bus stop is called “Acuario,” served by bus lines 1, 4, 6, 12, and 16 in both directions.
Train: Gijón-Sanz Crespo Station is 900 meters from Gijón Aquarium. From there turn completely left onto Av. De Juan Carlos I, cross Plaza del Padre Máximo González, turn right onto Calle de Mariano Pola, then left at the end of the esplanade to reach Gijón Aquarium.
