The Barcelona Erotic Museum (MEB) has introduced an exciting new feature for visitors with the opening of a dedicated exhibition space focusing on Gustav Klimt, one of the most influential artists in the history of European erotic art.
Entitled "Gustav Klimt: The Forbidden Line. Graphics, Censorship and the Visual Construction of Eroticism", the new exhibition reorganises the artist's works within the museum's permanent collection, creating a clearer narrative about the evolution of erotic representation in European art. According to the museum, the new layout strengthens the visitor experience while preserving the character of its collection.
Located on La Rambla, opposite the famous Boqueria Market, the Barcelona Erotic Museum houses more than 800 exhibits exploring the history of eroticism from ancient civilizations to modern culture.
